FITNA AND CORRUPTION
Li-lladhīna lā yurīdūna ‘aluwwan fī l-‘arḍi wa-lā fasādā(n)” (Qur’ān 28:83) “For those who want neither tyranny nor corruption on the earth.” The believers are humble people. They do not want corruption on earth. The mu’min, the believer, does not want to raise themselves up in a worldly way. They possess humility [here], so that they gain in the Hereafter. When such is the case, fitna and corruption will be avoided.
